Senate Bill 466
Our little summer camp has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that you may have seen or heard about on OPB or KPTV—and it’s TRUE!
There is an Oregon Senate Bill in the works to fund OSS beginning in 2026. It would provide enough biennial state funding to run OSS long-term, making camp FREE for families, covering stipends for our amazing 100% volunteer staff, and freeing up fundraising dollars from making ends meet to making camp extra-special. SB466 is a really, really big deal for us. See our SB466 onepager for more!
Here’s how it works, from when the legislative session opens Jan 21 until it closes Mar 31—we’re currently on the Senate side, working our way to the House side:

- Ours was January 30, 2025.
